Strike a pose, there’s nothing to it…

Seriously, I have issues.  I see you smirking, don’t think that I don’t.  But, I know that I am not alone.  In fact, I think you might too have issues as well.  I will even go out on a limb and say I am sure I am not the only one who suffers from this problem.  Sure, there will be some variations of the subject, but I think, in a way, we are all in the same boat.

We can blame it on technology, but, in reality, I think we should thank technology instead.  After all, now, more than ever, it is so easy to feed our habits.  Most of us have our smart phones or our digital cameras with us almost constantly.  We can’t help it.  Every time our child or pet does something cute, we feverously snap away. The same goes for when you see something unusual or especially beautiful.  You grab your camera and capture the moment.

But, what happens next?  If you picked up my phone at any point in time, you would see literally hundreds of pictures of him.  But the problem is what to do with them afterwards. Sure, I update them to my computer, and I try to categorize them as much as possible, but I am still left with tons of folders scattered about, that I barely ever look at.  I always tell myself I will print them and put them in a photo album or scrapbook, along with all the other pictures of Marc and me.  But do I?  No, never.  Do you?

The thought of sitting on the den floor with scissors and glue sorting through pictures sounds like a lot of fun in concept.  But, in actuality I can never bring myself to do it.  Who has the time?  Wouldn’t it be great if there was an easy, computerized method to create a scrapbook?  Well there is!

    1. Max – sorry, I just found, while helping my mom tally the entries, that she never answsered yours… Sheesh… Good help is so hard to find…. UGH XOXO ALEX

  1. What a cutie! Of course you need a scrapbook for him!! Very cute cover! Digital scrapbooking looks so much easier than dealing with all the photos on my bed and loosing pictures under the covers like I did the one time I attempted it! Thanks for heads up and coupon code!

    1. Kathy – your scrapbooking attempt sounds like mine. I had such lofty hopes as I surrounded myself with albums and old pictures. I ended up making only one book and a huge mess. Digital sure seems much easier (and neater!)

  2. That’s a fantastic idea…I have to definitely check it out. Been pestering Corey for a better camera…I love taking pics of anything and everything!!!! And Alex looks very handsome…

    1. Artemisia, Fenris, Socks & Scylla – Alex & I wish you good luck. We like how you are trying to win a present for your mommy….. Alex – take note. This is what good furkids do 🙂

  3. I love that page, but I have to admit I am addicted to traditional scrapbooking, but I think it is because I have a great group of women I crop with once a month

  4. OMG! This is for US. We are the most disorganized family EVER when it comes to pictures. Our computer files are a disaster. as well as our printed pictures. When we first had our daughter, I was determined to keep photobooks. We printed LOTS of pictures, but never put them in books so they are now all stuffed (100’s of them) in a drawer. The computer files are even more of a disaster. I follow you on google friend connect, twitter and facebook and will sign up for My Memories via blog, facebook, and twitter.

    1. Kristin & Pip – It is funny, with the amount of pictures you post, I would have thought you would have been super organized. You sound EXACTLTY like me! I always have the best intentions to organize and make albums but never do…. moving those pictures must have been a task. Thanks for entering!
