In Two Month’s Time….

In Two Month’s Time….

At some point in time a house becomes a home. And at other times a home just becomes a house…. And sometimes you can’t decide which is which…

Two months. It doesn’t seem like a long period of time, does it? But if you focus, work hard, and put all your energy on something, you’d be surprised how much you can get done in such a short period of time.

We closed on the new house on March 17th. The very next day, my husband and I were there, along with some contractors, beginning renovation. We have been very hands on. I even broke down the old kitchen cabinets myself. Who would think I could rock an electric drill.

While the house is in a great location, has a wonderful structure, the rest left a lot to be desired. So we did a complete gut. There isn’t one room we haven’t changed.

Five or six dumpsters later, the house is finally starting to take some shape…

But we still have a lot to do….

Eventually we will have a kitchen, but I’m not complaining… What better way to explore the new neighborhood then by having no choice but to eat out 🙂

    1. Ellen – It is crazy how much we have done (house wise, work wise) we are about to crash but we both thrive on being busy

    1. Inner chick – lucy is taking everything better then I thought she would. I was worried about her when we moved furniture, but she didn’t seem to care

    1. Caren – I am much calmer now… Thank goodness. We have the kitchen all designed. It helped that we just did the one at the beach 2 years ago…
