Those are awful nicknames! Unless you have some fond memories that go with them?
Jessica – they are aweful, but i have lots of great memories that go with each and every one of them….
I am retired and I was a teacher so I think you would do well at both.
Judy – really? cool… Maybe I should reallly consider it… I was just telling Marc about it this weekend… One of our neighbors became a professor at a local college after he retired and loves it… That is what I want to do…
I always say I wish I could teleport to different places. A cup of coffee with mom, an afternoon playing with my niece, a train ride with my uncle… and all done before it’s time to pick up the kids at school. 🙂
Susi – if only that was possible… how awesome would that be?
Omg, I’m sorry but your nicknames are hilarious!
Camille – I know.. they are pretty funny..
oh, there were more…. slowly they are coming back…
when I was a waitress, one of the ladies called me Hills of Beans (now that is bad)
I love peanut butter cups! Yucky nickname!
Yvonne – I know.. they were pretty bad – but they were all said with love…
Oh, those are awful nicknames! I got Kimmy, of course. And Kimmy-line Stachelschwein — which I thought meant Kimmy-line pig’s behind until only a few years ago when I found out from my dad that the real German translation is porcupine. Kimmy-line porcupine.
I was mentally and emotionally scarred for nothing. LOL.
BTW, I’d want to teleport, like Susi. But one would have to be invisible/undetectable to anyone while doing it, unless everyone had the power. (Iv’e actually spent time thinking about this. Yeah, I’m a nutbar, I know this.)
Kim – Love the line “I’m a nutbar” 🙂 I agree those powers would be amazing! Sorry you got scarred for nothing, but personally I like pig’s behind a little better 🙂
Great nicknames though I am sure YOU did not think they were great!!!! 🙂 Thanks for hosting another great week of Friday Fill Ins! Hugs!
Beth Ann – Actually I did like them (except for Ug – I could have lived without that one)
Obviously there was a vision problem in your family!
Brian – Obviously 🙂 You are so kind…..
Oh yes….let’s fly some place where the peanut butter cups never run out!
um, cockroach? yes, I feel very bad for you. That’s worse than “bug” 🙂
RoryBore – yeah, cockroach was pretty bad – but cute at the same time… Lets get flying!
Oh no! Those nicknames!
But I’m guessing they were said with love. 🙂
Emily – they were pretty bad, huh? But yes, they were all said with love (or at least that is what I hope!)
Aren’t nicknames funny… by the time they have stuck no one remembers where they came from….
Flying huh? Think you could do that in high heels?
Brenda – I think I can do anything in high heels! you are so right… We get stuck with these name but don’t even remember why…
I am not sure how I escaped the names growing up but I remember partaking with my cousins in some name calling. Oh, and flying, that would be a good one, I didn’t think of that power. My husband talks about teaching too when he retires but I am assuming you mean college? He would like to teach college.
Lucy – yep, I mean college… I doubt I will do it, but I do think about it…
I didn’t know that you wanna be a professor? That is what my husband plan to do …
Angela – I do want to become one – but then again I want to do everything.. I doubt I actually will though…
Flying would be a cool superpower… I don’t like driving. 🙂
Nani – I actually like to drive, but i hate the traffic….
At least you weren’t called Bump!! (I’d love to find that dude and kick him where it counts now that I’m all grown up!)
Hilary – bump? Yeah, that is not a good name 🙂
My sisters used to tease me something rotten and call me “ogre”! LOL!!! Take care
x
Old Kitty – Ogre? That wasn’t nice.. I hope you got even!
—-UG?
I haaate that. hate hate hate.
You are soooo beautiful.
xxxx
Inner Chick – thank you… you are too sweet… but it was said with love… or at least I think so….
Dang, those are some rough nicknames! Surely they were meant in jest (I hope)!
Peanut butter cups … YEAH!
Meowmeowman – Of course they were meant in jest (I hope too!) I don’t know about you, but I really want a butter cup now!
Cockroach?! Ew! I think I’d rather be called Ug! LOL!
When I was pregnant with my oldest son, I would eat bags of peanut butter cups. I couldn’t get enough of them! To this day my son loves them too, along with Reese’s Pieces. I guess it was his craving, not mine 😉
Have a great weekend!
Arlene – it is funny you mention the cravings.. when my mom was pregnant with me she craved chocolate covered donuts. She hated them but when I was little I always loved them….
