  1. I’m so with you on number one… I have had no time to do much blogging lately. I’m way behind on my blog reading, barely commenting. Ugh, life is just too busy right now. I miss it. Plus, FB, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram can be such time sucks… as much as I love all of it. 🙂

    1. Susi – That is the problem with this hobby… it is so fun, but so time consuming… And there are only so many hours in a day… I can’t keep up as much as I like..

  2. James Taylor songs are rather soothing good choice on Alex’s part. Thanks for having me co-host again 🙂
My 10 year old recently told her dad “mom won’t help me she is on her loveputer (instead of computer) she said she loves it more then us LOL but it seems like so many of my friends have pulling out the big guns are some great posts I am losing sleep over trying to read them comment and the reply to comments on my posts, I seriously spent 2 full hours just going thru the dashboard reading super blogs.

    1. Janice – thanks for being co-host and coming up with great questions! James Taylor is the best… His voice is soothing and his words have so much meaning… Your daughter sounds like a hoot… But it is true… I know between work & play I could spend all day on this thing (and many days I do!)

  3. I can’t hold a tune but that doesn’t stop me belting them out during karaoke! LOL!!

Awwww sweet angel Alex! Big hugs! Take care

  4. Now that I think about it, I haven’t worn a watch in years! I believe this all revolved around the time I got my first cell phone in 2005 and I figured I didn’t need to wear a watch since my phone has one. Personally, I believe the mobile phone industry secretly is sabatoging the watch manufactures in making this feature available. What? You don’t agree! Okay, maybe you’re right. I guess it’s just one of those fun little perks you get when you have a mobile phone. =D

I highly doubt your singing voice is horrible. I’m certain I bet you in that department hands down. I would suggest we have a sing off to see who’s declared winner, but I don’t want to embarass myself and loss a friend.

Thanks for hosting, my friend. I apologize for not playing more frequent. I’ll try to do better now that DS is in college this fall and my homeschool duties are now complete. Have a great weekend!

    1. Cathy – you crack me up… You may be a bad singer, but I really think I am worse! I was one of 3 kids who wasn’t able to get into chorus in 6th grade. I got tipped extra when I waited tables NOT to sing happy birthday. I am beyond bad….

I agree with the cell phones eliminating the need for watches….

  5. I sing James Taylor in the shower where no one else can hear me. And Carly Simon, too! I stopped wearing a watch when I quit working for a firm where I had to keep up with my time every five minutes! Enjoyed reading your four this morning, Hilary!

  6. LOVE James Taylor and that seems like such fitting music for sweet Alex! Gonna have to listen to some today in his memory. The watch thing is a good point. I have a couple I alternate in between wearing—both Citizens that Chris got me that don’t need batteries—THE absolute best kind for me since I used to run through watches like crazy! Happy Friday, dear Hilary!

    1. Beth Ann – it is funny, when I listen to James Taylor now, every single song has meaning for Alex… Marc & I worked from home yesterday and we had cable music on. James Taylor played and we both lost it… I at least have been listening to it a lot, this was the first time Marc heard him since we brought Alex to the vet the day before we had to put him to sleep….

  7. I stopped wearing a watch on my last day of work prior to my 2nd maternity leave. I knew I was staying home for quite a few years and didn’t want to be bothered with putting it on every day. Or perhaps I just knew that o’nce children arrived….I’d be late for everything anyway.

I sing under the premise of making “joyful” noise……not a “pleasing to my ear and everyone else’s” noise 🙂

    1. Hilary – that is the fun about this hop. You either discover something about yourself or realize how similar we all are….

  8. When I go out I always wear a watch. I don’t think that will ever change for me. I wish I had… taken the time..to….lose weight years ago!
I sometimes sing in the car. Have a beautiful weekend Hilary.

    1. Debby – you are working on the weight now.. you can’t go back and change things.. you just have to move forward. have a great weekend too!

  9. don’t have time to blog today, but wanted to fill-in-the-blanks anyway, a fun way to end the week. I’ve posted them on my FB page (and linked back to you) — JustPiddlin’with Frances.
btw – I don’t wear a watch either, but I want to, I’m just too much of a procrastinator to get the clasp fixed.

  10. My voice is for singing when I’m alone only! {{hugs}} on the James Taylor songs – I hope they are memories that make you happy more than sad for missing him now.

  11. My husband bought me a watch for Christmas so I have gone back to wearing one. I love to sing in the car, where I am alone and no one hears me lol
Ah, I hope James Taylor is putting a smile on your face with happy memories and not making you too terribly sad.
