  1. I love the rain it makes me so calm kinda like the sound of waves :}
    Cookies are the best made on rainy nights because you don’t mind the oven heating up the house
    win win there! Thanks for hosting Hilary :}

    1. Janice thanks for playing along… I feel the same way about the rain (and waves) so soothing…. And cookies are good any time!

  2. I totally failed as a co-host last week, my profuse apologies! I got badly screwed by the gal I paid for the blog redesign and had to hunker down and do it all myself. Would dedicating a whole stand-alone page to blog hops, in which yours are prominently featured, as well as a whole page of blogroll love make up for it?

    1. Megan – dont worry about it… Blogging is supposed to be fun, not work… I so understand… I am hanging on by a blogging thread 🙁 I am so sorry that you got screwed by the gal helping you… I was so happy that you had someone help you so you didn’t have to muddle through it alone…. and make the same mistakes I did… I made the move myself, but was fortunate to have some great techno guys in my life (and a company that I could call upon that was doing work in my office). Hopefully you are all sorted out now…

      ps… I never turn down love – but none is needed….

  3. Oh you are so lucky to feel that way about where you live. I’ve lived lots of places (like 30 different places), but I’ve never felt that – always wish I was some place else. So to answer #3 – when I grow up, I want to live where I want to live!

    Kristin

    1. Kristin – wow 30 places???? All in the same area? I have only lived in 3 (if you count when I was a baby). I hope you find the place of your dreams.. it really makes a difference

      1. Thanks, I hope so, too! Maybe when I am retired – LOL! Mostly the midwest and east coast. I definitely prefer the east coast and would love to be near the ocean again some day! I moved around a bunch as a kid (and as an adult, too).

        1. Kristen – I think it must be so difficult to move from being by an ocean to being inland… I dont really know if I could do it… On one hand it must have been fun and interesting to move around so much, but so hard at the same time. I have only lived 3 places (and only 2 of which I remember) and they both are only 20 minutes aways (although feel like night and day because of the beach’s location). I always talk about retirement soon because I so want to move to FL… I hate the NY cold winters…. I hope that you finally find that special place (before you retire!)

  4. Two thumbs up on rainy nights. And cookies with Godiva chocolate?! Are you kidding me?! That’s like eating a piece of heaven!

    Have a great weekend!

    1. Arlene – I kid you not… Someone gave me a box of godiva chocolates and putting them in the cookies was marc’s idea… it was amazing!

  5. I’m a little late to the party today. and it is currently raining as I type away…..and now that song is stuck in my head and am scouring the house for any kind of chocolate I can find! I love that you said “exactly where you are living” – I wonder how many others can say that?

    1. RoryBore – The song was stuck in my head too…. I don’t know how many other’s could use that answer, but i know that I am very lucky and I don’t take it for granted…

    1. Mom to 8 – sounds good to me, although I don’t like beer… swap it for wine or a martini and I will drink to the start of the weekend with you!
