An update….
When it comes to writing a book, the easiest part of the process is the actual writing of it… The hardest part is the marketing and the scariest part, by far, is wondering how people will react to it.
Sure, nothing pleases me more than seeing a new review on Amazon or Goodreads. But every time I see a review added I get a pit in the bottom of my stomach. I worry that the review will be bad, and that people will hate my book. After all, just like with food, everyone doesn’t have the same taste. So just because I love spicy food I can’t expect everyone else to…
It’s been a little over a month since Plan Bea was published. I am blown away by how well Bea has been received! The feedback I am getting on this book is better than I had ever hoped for… Especially since readers are all shocked at the twist ending!
The other morning, I had the most surreal experience. A women reached out to me on Twitter and told me that she was at the hospital undergoing chemo. To pass the time, she was reading Plan Bea. She wanted me to know that she loved the book. All through out the day she continued to tweet me. She shared what part she was up to, what parts made her cry, and what parts shocked her. My book helped her get through her difficult day, her praise invigorated me, and social media was so social….
Plan Bea – available on Amazon, Amazon UK, Nook, iBooks

I’ve live tweeted while reading too. In fact I did it again today.

That’s so wonderful that she took the time to contact you and share her thoughts! What an amazing gift you gave to each other in words! We should all take the time to tell people of their impact, however small, on our lives.
So happy that you had that “social” connection! 🙂
Rorybore – I know. I totally agree. We both probably made each others days… And I think that we as people don’t reach out enough – I know I sure don’t…
That is amazing. Through your book she shared with you, a stranger, one of the most difficult times.
